Week Of February 23 Review:
Things are going well as the children and I get to know one another and learn to work together. I will continue to strive for improvements in the classroom thay will facilitiate the learning process.
Please dicuss with your child the absolute need that in the morning when the child enters the classroom, he or she needs to be in their seat and doing the work that I have outlined on the board. I have tasks that I need to complete and I EXPECT the kids to be working while I complete the morning tasks. I will not tolerate children looking at me doing nothing or talking to thier neighbor. They have plenty of time to say hello to their friends and classmates before the bell rings. Usually I can complete my morning business in a few minutes and then we can begin the morning's lesson. If a problem develops in this area, a note will be coming home.
The mailboxes arrived and the kis are excited.
Also, I purchased thirty individual dry erase boards for the students in my room. I need old socks, preferably clean, or any other type of heavy duty cloth to use as erasers. Any help would be appreciated.
I look forward to working with the children in 205 and thier parents/guardians. I am a firm believer in that in order for a child to reach his or her fullest potential, the parent/guardian must play a huge role. Learning does not end at 3:42P.M. Learning should always be taking place.
